Demand Planning Specialist  

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support effective supply planning, inventory management, and customer service objectives. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to translate market intelligence and customer demand signals into reliable forecasts that enable optimal inventory and service performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, promotions, and customer insights.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Key Account teams to gather demand inputs and validate assumptions.
• Analyze forecast accuracy (e.g., bias, MAPE) and identify root causes of variances; drive corrective actions.
• Communicate forecast changes and demand risks clearly to Supply Planning, Procurement, and Operations teams.
• Support S&OP / IBP processes by preparing demand reviews, scenarios, and recommendations.
• Monitor customer demand patterns, seasonality, and new product introductions (NPI).
• Identify risks and opportunities related to inventory availability, OOS, and excess stock.
• Maintain and improve demand planning tools, models, and data integrity.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics (experience level can be adjusted).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with demand planning systems (e.g., SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is an advantage.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required; Power BI is a plus).

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
