Customer Profile
Alveo Land’s target market, in general, are those individuals belonging to the AA through lower A socio-economic brackets with a monthly household income of PH₱200k to PH₱500k (US$3.9k to US$9.7k). 

They are upscale urban achievers, single or married, and in their 30s to 50s. They should be able to afford a monthly amortization
of around PH₱75k (US$1.4k) per month for a typical Alveo product. They are usually young to mid-aged aspiring married couples, at the progressive stages of their careers or entrepreneurial business life. Their life stage could be defined as “early to full-nester”
with children in primary or secondary school. They are an upwardly mobile group whose lives revolve around their family and work, who value good careers and social prospects, and who are imageconscious, yet practical in their investments. Real estate purchases are considered very carefully, and image coupled with good investment value and value for money is a primary consideration. Subsequent in their hierarchy of importance is security, followed by accessibility and proximity to their places of work and/or places of education, depending on the school age of the kids. Their holidays and weekends are spent shopping, so proximity to commercial centers and leisure destinations, is highly desirable.

Under the supervision of the Assistant to the Director for Operations, the Residential Operations Assistant attends to the reservation and admission of potential residents and transients, handles their check-in and out, serves as front-desk support, and assists with the general upkeep of the rooms.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

I. URH Reservations, Applications, and Admissions Management

Senior Executive Assistant | Work From Home

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

The Journals Assistant V provides administrative, editorial, and operational support to the University journals under the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Research, Creative Work, and Innovation (OAVP-RCWI). The position facilitates subscription management, database maintenance, print and digital distribution, communications with internal and external stakeholders, and coordination of journal-related events.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

I. Subscription, Distribution, and Sales Support

<ul>
	<li>Maintains and regularly updates the journals’ subscription and sales databases</li>
	<li>Handles routine correspondence with existing and potential subscribers and agents via email, phone, or other platforms</li>
	<li>Processes subscription payments, including cash, check, bank deposits, or wire transfers, and turns them over to the Bursar for deposit</li>
	<li>Coordinates with external printers, couriers, and vendors for local and international delivery of print copies, ensuring minimal loss or delay</li>
	<li>Monitors the journals’ accounts on e-commerce platforms (e.g., Lazada, Shopee) to ensure availability and accuracy of listings</li>
	<li>Coordinates with agents, stores, university presses, and marketing outlets to promote the journals and increase subscriptions</li>
	<li>Attends conferences, lectures, book fairs, and other events to promote the relevant journals</li>
	<li>Prepares quarterly and annual reports on sales, expenses, and journal inventory for planning and audit purposes</li>
</ul>

II. Editorial and Production Coordination Support

<ul>
	<li>Responds to general inquiries from authors, agents, and readers, referring specific concerns to the editors and staff of the concerned journals</li>
	<li>Responds to and processes reprint permissions, in coordination with the editors and staff of the concerned journals</li>
	<li>Coordinates with third-party service providers (e.g., Elsevier) and, in coordination with journal editors and staff, updates journal content in the University’s Institutional Repository (Archīum)</li>
	<li>Assists in filing quarterly copyright applications at the National Library of the Philippines by preparing and submitting required forms and documentation</li>
	<li>Supports peer review tracking, proofreading logistics, and post-layout monitoring by coordinating schedules or routing of files between editors and reviewers</li>
	<li>Assists in routine formatting, corrections, and communication tasks related to editorial production by implementing standard formatting guidelines, encoding minor revisions, and relaying editor-approved messages to authors/contributors</li>
	<li>Collects and compiles editorial board data and other journal-related information upon request, while adhering to data privacy standards</li>
	<li>Maintains the confidentiality of the assessment, review, and preparation for the production of journal manuscripts</li>
</ul>

III. Administrative Support

<ul>
	<li>Processes financial documents such as Order for Checks, Petty Cash Vouchers, Budget Transfers, and purchase requisitions through the Central Payment System (CPS) and Central Purchasing Office (CPO) systems</li>
	<li>Assists in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and basic upkeep of the office and storage areas</li>
	<li>Assists in the logistical preparations and documentation for conferences and special events by arranging venue reservations and preparing essential event materials</li>
	<li>Attends and documents internal meetings, including writing the minutes of the meeting</li>
</ul>

IV. Performs other work-related tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor and authorized representative from the OAVP-RCWI

Journals Assistant

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

<ul>
	<li>Substantial writing, editorial, and audio-visual skills.</li>
	<li>Intermediate to advanced skills in writing and editing content, including but not limited to news and feature articles; scripts for audio-visual projects; speeches and op-eds; social media content; and marketing materials.</li>
	<li>Proficient in writing and editing in English and/or Filipino.</li>
	<li>Substantial experience in videography and photography; advanced videography and photography skills an advantage.</li>
	<li>Experience or interest in writing about specialized topics is a major advantage. Specialized topics preferred are arts &amp; culture and science (STEM).</li>
	<li>Substantial track record in working in events and special projects.</li>
	<li>Up-to-date grasp and effective use of tools for special projects.</li>
	<li>Adept at communicating to and liaising with a range of stakeholders and audiences, both internal and external to an organization.</li>
	<li>Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities concurrently.</li>
	<li>Working knowledge of communications tools</li>

	<li>Proficient in Mac/Windows OS, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365. Proficiency in using audio-visual editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.</li>

Education and Experience Requirements

<ul>
	<li>A bachelor's degree is the required minimum, preferably a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Fine/Multimedia Arts, or any related field. If not a graduate of communications-related degree, professional experience in marketing, communications, events management, or related fields can be considered.</li>
	<li>At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, media production, journalism, public relations and/or related professions with demonstrated skills in marketing, communications, social media, and/or events management.</li>
	<li>Higher education, teaching, and/or work experience in Ateneo de Manila University (most relevant) or in another Philippine Jesuit educational institution</li>
