Data Steward ensures an organization's data is high-quality, secure, and well-managed by implementing governance policies, defining standards, managing metadata, ensuring compliance (like HIPAA/GDPR), and resolving data issues, acting as a bridge between data users and technical teams to support reliable, trustworthy data for decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Experience:
Data Quality Remediation: Identifying, profiling, and fixing data anomalies at the source; managing the lifecycle of data "bugs" from detection to resolution.
Metadata Management: Maintaining data dictionaries and business glossaries to ensure technical definitions align with business use cases.
Operational Compliance: Executing role-based access controls (RBAC) and ensuring data handling follows existing GDPR, HIPAA, or internal privacy policies.
Technical Liaison: Acting as the "translator" between business users and IT teams to ensure technical implementations meet business requirements.
Process Documentation: Creating and updating data lineage maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data entry and maintenance.
