Network Data Engineer [Riverbed Steelhead Expertise]  

Design, deploy, configure, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances for WAN optimization, application acceleration, and network performance enhancement.

Design, implement, and maintain complex Cisco-based routing and switching solutions for LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

Administer and configure SolarWinds for comprehensive network performance monitoring, fault management, and capacity planning.

Utilize ThousandEyes for end-to-end visibility into network paths, internet health, cloud and SaaS application performance, and user digital experience.

Utilize ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident management, problem management, change management, and request fulfillment related to network operations.

Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patching.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.

Proven hands-on experience with Riverbed Steelhead.

Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies (CCNP certification or equivalent experience highly preferred).

Demonstrated experience with network monitoring tools, including:

• SolarWinds (NPM, NCM, IPAM, etc.)

• ThousandEyes

• The Dude Dashboard (MikroTik)

Proficiency in IT Service Management platforms, specifically ServiceNow (SNOW).

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, QoS, and other core networking protocols.

Experience with network security principles and firewalls.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Riverbed Certified Solutions Associate/Professional, SolarWinds Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
