We are looking for individuals who can evangelize the idea that productive work can be done from anywhere! Right now businesses are spending billions on larger than necessary workspaces. The pandemic has forced businesses to consider work-from-home arrangements, but businesses are struggling to see this as a sustainable and productive way to move forward.
Squadzip is the Digital Extension of the Office, a platform that serves as a central reporting hub for all types of customer interactions, face-to-face interactions, video calls, voice calls, messaging, and more. We are looking for a few, energetic, driven individuals to help us spread this movement across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Work on assigned projects using mainly Ruby on Rails and React
- Occasionally assist with planning and designing product features
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Reverse engineer and update existing codes for better readable approach and performance improvement
- Monitor and improve the performance of the web application
- Querying and showing data depending on the given requirements
- Research current and existing technologies for potential use
- Help troubleshoot and fix problems in production
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive web development principles.
- Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or SASS is an advantage.
- knowledge of React.js and jQuery.
- Experience working with SQL and RDBMS is required. Experience with PostgreSQL is an advantage.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Ruby on Rails.
- If no Ruby on Rails experience, experience working of at least one backend language/framework such as PHP, Java, Python, or .NET is acceptable.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and basic API development concepts.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Working knowledge of the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line operations.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, including ActionCable and Active Storage.
- Knowledge of OWASP security principles and secure web application development practices.
- Experience with Redux for state management in React applications.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached.
