Job Description
We're looking for a Senior People Operations Specialist to be the driving force behind our day-to-day People Operations—someone our employees can rely on throughout every stage of their journey, from onboarding to offboarding.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role that spans the full employee lifecycle. You'll partner with managers on employee relations, ensure payroll and statutory compliance are accurate and on time, maintain the integrity of our HR data and policies, generate meaningful reports, and lead initiatives that foster an engaging and people-first workplace. This role requires strong trust, precision, and consistent delivery.
You'll support both our Philippine and Thailand teams while working in a People function that embraces AI as part of everyday work—not just as a concept. As an AI-first HR technology company, we continuously leverage automation and AI to improve how we operate. You'll report directly to the Senior People Operations Manager, collaborating closely on strategic initiatives while gaining opportunities to grow into broader business partnering and People leadership responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
- End-to-end employee lifecycle:
- owns the employee journey from onboarding through offboarding: documentation, enrollment, movements, clearance, final pay, and exit reporting.
- Employee relations
- :first-line contact for ER matters. Coaches managers and manages routine disciplinary and grievance cases to a defensible standard, escalating complex or high-risk cases.
- Employee engagement and experience:
- runs engagement, recognition, and team activities across both branches, including engagement surveys and the follow-through that turns results into visible action. Supports DEI initiatives with cultural fluency for each market.
- Policy and data governance:
- maintains the policy library, data integrity across our different tools and platforms, and the People Operations knowledge base;
- Payroll:
- ensures every payroll input and adjustment is captured accurately and on time: new hires, movements, salary changes, leave and absence data, overtime, allowances, deductions, loan amortizations, and final pay. Reviews the system-generated register before submission, investigates variances, and resolves employee payroll queries.
- Statutory compliance and remittances:
- owns SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and BIR compliance end to end: accurate on-time filing, agency coordination, employee resolution, and monthly reconciliation of government loan deductions, including availment of other benefits and packages.
- People and payroll reporting:
- builds and maintains the reporting suite: designs new reports and dashboards as needs emerge, (e.g headcount, movement, attrition, leave liability, register and cost summaries, statutory reports, variance analysis), and presents findings with interpretation rather than raw numbers.
- Audit readiness:
- People Operations as point person for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 evidence collection and internal audit preparation, with control ownership retained by the Senior Manager.
- Total rewards support:
- supports compensation and benefits administration and prepares data for renewal and salary review cycles.
- AI adoption and continuous learning:
- continuously builds AI fluency and applies it across the processes above: identifying manual or repetitive steps, testing AI-assisted approaches, and embedding the ones that hold into documented workflows. Keeps pace with
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Accountancy, or a related field.
- 5–7 years in HR or People Operations with broad generalist exposure across the employee lifecycle.
- Hands-on employee relations experience: casework, documentation, and manager coaching, with working knowledge of Philippine labor law and DOLE regulations.
- Demonstrated ownership of Philippine payroll within a payroll system, with enough command of the underlying computation and contributions, withholding tax, 13th month, final pay, annualization to validate system output and catch errors before they reach employees. Proven ownership of government remittances.
- Advanced spreadsheet capability for reconciliation, variance analysis, and report building, with the ability to turn people data into a clear narrative for non-HR stakeholders; proficiency with HR, payroll, and timekeeping systems. Hands-on experience with Sprout products is an advantage.
- Practical AI fluency: uses AI daily for drafting, analysis, and synthesis, with the judgment to verify and correct outputs rather than accept them, sound data handling discipline around confidential people and payroll information, and a habit of turning new capabilities into better ways of working.
- Clear communication, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of confidentiality.
