The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end Recruitment & Talent Acquisition and ensuring efficient HR Administration for SMX Convention Center. This role supports manpower readiness for large-scale events and operations, while ensuring full compliance with labor standards, company policies, and internal controls.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead critical hiring across existing branches of SMX Convention Center and pre-opening properties
- Partner with Department Heads to develop manpower plans aligned with event schedules and business demand.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviews, job offers, and onboarding.
- Build pipelines through job portals, manpower agencies, schools, and local government employment offices.
- Organize job fairs, campus recruitment, and hiring campaigns.
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, sourcing channel effectivity, and manpower readiness.
- Maintain an updated recruitment tracker and applicant database.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain complete 201 files, contracts, and employee records in compliance with audit standards.
- Oversee onboarding procedures.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and internal policies.
- Assist in labor relations, investigations, and disciplinary documentation.
- Prepare HR reports, manpower status, and compliance documentation.
- Support HR audits and SMHCC corporate requirements.
Policy Implementation & Employee Support
- Enforce company policies and standards across all departments.
- Handle employee concerns and support conflict resolution.
- Assist in engagement programs and HR initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality, events, retail, or mall operations.
- Strong background in volume recruitment and HR administration.
- Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and coordination skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
