Controls solution by establishing specifications; Upgrades the previous program/system to high tech, compatible to new Operating Systems and Develop new system using various programming languages such as VB. Net and Java (Netbeans) programming with SQL Server database and Programmable devices.

Brief Description of the General Function of the Unit or Section:

The Systems Design Section is tasked to develop a comprehensive IT Master Plan and ensure that other computerization processes in the City Government are compatible with the plan. It should direct the development of systems common to a number of departments such as the city's infrastructure and demographics data, or wherein the departments do not have the technical capability for automation purposes. It also tasked to provide parameters and guidelines in the design and development of IT by the different operating departments, offices and units of the city.
