Dentist II  

1. In the absence of the assistant Division Head, takes charge of the function and responsibilities, discipline of personnel and dental graduates on training upon the recommendation of the Chief Dentist;

2. Makes diagnosis, plans and treats. Perform dental cases and supervises Dentist in major operation in the absence of a higher Dental Surgeon; does minor and major operation such as new growth, fixation of sensible and auxiliary fracture secondary to accidents and pathological cases; manages and evaluates disease with oral cavity manifestation;

3. Attends to emergency cases during office hours; manages hospital-in-patient with dental problems; attends to referral coming from health center Dentist and private of such cases as removal impacted tooth, fractured root secondary to extraction;

4. Prevention Services such as promotion of oral health to preschool, school children, pre-natal and nursing mother; specific prevention and curative services;

5. Requisition and receive dental equipment, supplies and materials and maintains procedural cleanliness of dental clinic;

6. Prepares schedule of duties of dental personnel; rates performance record of personnel;

7. Submit a monthly, semi- annual an annual report to records section.
