Graphic Designer | Medical, Scientific & Technical  

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our Creative Department, specializing in the creation of medical, scientific, and technical graphics for books and publications. This role is ideal for designers with a strong professional background who can translate complex information into clear, accurate, and publication-ready visuals.

Job Purpose

To create anatomically, scientifically, and technically accurate graphics—including illustrations, diagrams, schematics, and data visualizations—for medical, scientific, and technical books and papers, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and high publication standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create medical, scientific, and technical illustrations for books and other related publications
• Develop detailed diagrams, schematics, and data visualizations that clearly communicate complex concepts
• Ensure all artwork meets branding, accuracy, and publication guidelines
• Collaborate closely with writers and internal teams to translate technical content into effective visuals
• Prepare graphics for print and digital publication
• Support occasional internal design needs such as event posters, signage, and administrative materials
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently to ensure on-time delivery with consistent quality

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional graphic design experience
• Experience producing technical, scientific, or medical graphics is strongly preferred

Technical Skills

• Adobe Photoshop – Advanced
• Adobe Illustrator – Advanced
• Adobe InDesign – Intermediate
• Strong photo retouching skills and graphic output preparation for print and web
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted design and prompting tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude)

Strong Advantage (Premium Qualification)

• Solid understanding of medical terminology, scientific concepts, laboratory workflows, and technical documentation
• Proven ability to translate complex medical and scientific data into precise, anatomically and technically accurate illustrations
• Prior experience creating medical illustrations, scientific figures, laboratory schematics is highly preferred
