Procurement Associate
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the procurement department of a company. It involves sourcing and purchasing the materials, supplies, equipment, and services that the company needs to operate. He/ she works with vendors, suppliers, and other third-party service providers to ensure that the company is getting the best possible value on everything.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing purchase order information to ensure compliance with company policies and
- procedures
- Assistance with proposal preparation, pricing negotiations, and contract administration
- Coordinating with other departments such as warehousing or accounting to ensure that
- goods are delivered on time in good condition.
- Maintaining records of bids and purchase orders for future reference
- Keeping and maintaining Procurement Reports
- Initiating and processing purchase orders for materials or services needed by the company
- Coordinating with suppliers to review product samples, discuss delivery schedules, and
- resolve problems regarding quality or quantity of goods.
- Interacting with suppliers and vendors to ensure that orders are filled correctly and on time
- Reviewing inventory levels to ensure that all items are available in suicient quantities.
- Maintaining accuracy of inventory and replenishments of stocks
- Facilitating transfer of materials from dierent site.
- Process payment request and ensuring that all delivery documents/ receipts are
- transmitted on time.
- Assisting in building relationships with organizational network and external vendors for
- procurement.
Minimum Qualifications
Procurement Specialist – Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 1–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
