Job Description

Purpose of the Role

As Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance across Levi Strauss Philippines. This position is responsible for leading core accounting functions, managing statutory obligations, and delivering accurate financial reporting in alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

Lead and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP.

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.

Collaborate with the Shared Service Center and third-party providers to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and submit financial reports for both local and regional stakeholders (SEA/EAP), including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, including BIR regulations, customs clearance, and tax filings.

Manage external audits and tax examinations, serving as the primary liaison for the Philippines entity.

Maintain and enhance the internal control framework to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Financial Management

Monitor and manage the balance sheet and cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

Support strategic financial planning and provide insights to optimize resource allocation.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset.

Promote collaboration, accountability, and professional growth within the team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine statutory and tax regulations
  • Proven experience in audit coordination and financial reporting under US GAAP
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong SAP background is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
