AI Automation Specialist  

About the role

Are you an automation-driven innovator who loves building intelligent, end-to-end workflows that integrate AI into real business operations? HOPLA is hiring an AI Automation Specialist to design and deploy agentic automations that streamline, accelerate, and enhance the way our clients work. In this role, you’ll build sophisticated workflows across modern automation platforms, integrate LLMs and APIs, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into reliable, observable, and high-impact automation systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of AI, workflow automation, and systems integration—someone who enjoys solving operational challenges through smart, scalable AI-powered automation. You’ll work directly with clients, product owners, and ML engineers to design agentic workflows, implement integrations, and continuously optimize performance across environments.

Your days will be filled with:

• Design agentic workflows: task decomposition, tool orchestration, retrieval/grounding, fallback/guardrails, human-in-the-loop.
• Implement automations in n8n/Zapier/Make, data models in Airtable/Sheets, and integrations with M365/Google apps (Outlook/Gmail, Drive/SharePoint, Calendar, Teams/Chat, Forms, OneDrive, etc.) and others.
• Connect LLMs & APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex/Azure, webhooks, REST/Graph) including prompt chains, function/tool calling, memory, and evaluation loops.
• Add reliability/observability: retries, idempotency keys, circuit breakers, alerts, logging, runbooks, dashboards.
• Ship safely: staging → prod, secrets management, permissioning, data policies, PII redaction.
• Gather requirements, demo iteratively, document clearly, and train end-users.
• Own lifecycle: measure impact, run A/Bs, and continuously optimize.

Who we are looking for:

• 1-2 years of experience building no-code/low-code automations in at least two: n8n, Zapier, Make (Integromat).
• Internships also count as experience!
• Strong Airtable (bases, scripting, automations) and/or structured Sheets experience.
• Comfortable in Microsoft 365 (Power Automate basics a plus) and Google Workspace admin & app ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, Regex; basic scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python) to fill gaps.
• LLM usage in production (prompt design, function calling, evaluation, cost/perf tuning).
• Client-facing communication: workshops, requirements capture, crisp documentation, and confident demos.
• System thinking: error handling, edge cases, data quality, and security/privacy awareness.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Power Automate, AppSheet, Glide, Retool.
• Vector DBs/RAG (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), embedding pipelines.
• Basic SQL; BI (Looker/Data Studio/Power BI).
• CI/CD for automations, Git, infra as code; Docker.
• Experience in professional services/consulting.
