Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Conversational and written English proficiency
- Maintain all websites hosted by numero and numero’s clients where applicable
- Monitor all website up/down activity and address any issues as they arise with urgency
- Perform general website maintenance duties and general website update duties as required and scheduled
- Test and debug websites to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices.
- Be a self starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and whilst providing exceptional websites in quick turnaround time frames.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of websites.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Stay up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks based on deadlines.
- Work flexible hours to accommodate client needs.
- Creation of blog pages and implementation of support tasks when the server workload allows.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our server side activity, including managed hosting along with regular site maintenance for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in website development, server management and be passionate about delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications:
- Backend/server side developer
- DNS maintenance
- Server/hosting maintenance
- CPanel management
- PHP is a plus (To help with WordPress maintenance)
- WordPress Experience - at least 5 years of experience
- Server side knowledge that can be applied to WordPress (this is a must), as well as Shopify (this is a plus)
- Someone that can do migrations - Hosting File Migration
- Redirections
- DNS Updates
- SMTP
- CPanel
- WordPress maintenance/updates
- API Knowledge - this is a plus
- Strong experience with server-side programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Node.js is preferable
- Experience with databases such as MySQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about delivering high-quality work and meeting client requirements
