Corporate Accountant  

We are accepting online applications for Corporate Accountant position for Höegh LNG Services ROHQ located in Makati City.

Main Tasks

Bookkeeping and Invoice processing

• Responsible for the bookkeeping and maintenance of accurate records of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities for assigned entities in Höegh LNG Group
• Prepare payments
• Coordinate and liaise with related parties of intragroup activities

Reconciliation and Financial Reporting

• Perform month- and quarter end reconciliation and documentation
• Complete primary statements (quarterly)
• Complete annual reports with note disclosures
• Assist in reviewing statements prepared by other team members

Financial Analysis

• Conduct analytical reviews of financials

Tax Compliance (if applicable)

• Manage local VAT and tax filings
• Assess the impact of indirect taxes on cross-border transactions

Cash Management

• Follow up on outstanding receivables
• Assist in optimizing cash flows (intragroup borrowings/dividend distribution)
• Timely settlement of debt service and other payables
• Perform monthly cash-flow forecasting

Audit Coordination

• Assist external auditor with providing the requirements for group and statutory reporting

Compliance

• Financial reporting compliance involves adhering to various regulations and standards to ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency in financial statements. Adherence to the global accounting framework governed by IFRS
• Support and ensure compliance with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements as defined by the group.

Ad hoc:

• Assist team members on projects outside of regular responsibilities
• Respond to urgent requests or inquiries from stakeholders

These responsibilities collectively contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insights for decision-making processes

• CPA is a preference but not required
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with handling monthly, quarterly or annual closing processes
• Understanding and experience with IFRS is a preference but not required
• Prior auditing experience with international clients is beneficial but not required
• Knowledge of internal controls
• Knowledge of financial reporting requirements
• Solid computer skills including working with general ledger systems
• Advanced excel knowledge
• Proficiency in English
