Job Summary
This role establishes and maintains the Company’s HR governance and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to labor laws, internal policies, and contractual risk standards.
The role serves as the organization’s subject matter expert in labor compliance and employee relations, while conducting structured risk reviews of commercial contracts to protect the Company from legal, financial, and reputational exposure. It functions as a risk control and compliance gatekeeper, working closely with Legal, Finance, and relevant business units to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place before execution.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Labor Law Compliance & HR Governance
- Interpret and apply Philippine labor laws, DOLE issuances, and related regulations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory labor standards and internal HR policies.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy or process adjustments.
- Conduct HR compliance reviews and risk assessments.
- Maintain and strengthen HR governance frameworks, controls, and documentation standards.
2. Employee Relations & Case Management
- Lead and oversee complex employee relations matters, including investigations, due process proceedings, disciplinary actions, grievances, harassment and misconduct, performance cases, and termination/separation matters.
- Prepare, review, and ensure the legal defensibility of employee relations documentation, including Notices to Explain (NTEs), Notices of Hearing, disciplinary decisions, memoranda, settlement agreements, case summaries, and reports.
3. Contract Risk Review & Governance
- Review commercial contracts to identify and mitigate legal, financial, and reputational risks.
- Assess contractual obligations, deliverables, liability, indemnity, risk allocation, termination, cancellation, breach, and other key provisions.
- Identify ambiguous or unfavorable terms and recommend revisions to strengthen the Company’s legal and commercial protection.
- Establish minimum contract risk standards, particularly for influencer and KOL engagements.
- Develop review checklists and risk assessment frameworks and ensure consistent application of contract review protocols.
- Maintain documentation of contract risk decisions and approvals and escalate high-risk matters to Legal and Management.
- Coordinate with Legal for final contract validation when necessary.
4. Policy Development & Interpretation
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and governance guidelines.
- Ensure policies are legally compliant, clear, and enforceable.
- Provide guidance on policy interpretation in complex or sensitive cases.
- Maintain policy version control and governance documentation.
5. Management Advisory & Risk Consultation
- Advise Management on labor law implications of HR decisions, employee discipline and termination risks, high-risk employee relations matters, contractual risks in influencer/KOL engagements, and complex policy interpretation.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, HR, and business units on employment and contract-related risk matters.
6. Capability Building & Risk Awareness
- Conduct training on labor compliance, due process, HR governance, and contract risk awareness.
- Coach HR and relevant teams on compliant documentation, risk assessment, and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience.
- At least 5 years specializing in employee relations, labor compliance, or HR governance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Legal Management, Political Science, or a related field.
- Law degree (Juris Doctor) is an advantage but not required
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor law
