Senior Manager, Organic Growth & AI Search Strategy  

We are seeking a visionary and data-driven Senior Manager for Organic Growth & AI Search Strategy to lead our organic visibility strategy into the next era of search. In this role, you won't just optimize for algorithms; you will optimize for user intent across traditional search engines (ex. Google) and AI-driven generative engines (OpenAI/ChatGPT, Gemini, and the like).

The ideal candidate understands that modern SEO is actually SXO (Search Experience Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). You will be responsible for ensuring our agency's clients are not only ranked but cited, recommended, and integrated into the conversational answers providing the framework for tomorrow's internet.

Summary

• LLM Visibility & Citation Strategy: Optimize content architecture to ensure our brand is pulled into AI summaries and Google AI Overviews.
• Brand Footprint Management: Monitor and improve the brand's sentiment and data presence across LLM training sets and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) sources.
• Conversational Keyword Research: Shift keyword strategies from rigid short-tail queries to natural language, long-tail conversational prompts used in AI chats.
• Entity & Schema Architecture: Implement advanced structured data and schema markup to help search engines and AI models map our content as verified "entities."
• Technical Health: Oversee crawlability, indexability, site speed, and Core Web Vitals, ensuring a flawless foundation for both bots and users.
• Programmatic & Scalable SEO: Identify opportunities for scalable content deployment without sacrificing editorial quality.
• Marketing Strategy: Understand the overall strategy developed for the client, and clearly identify how SEO & GEO fit in this picture.
• Information Gain Optimization: Move past generic content to focus on "Information Gain", creating original insights, proprietary data, and unique perspectives that AI engines prioritize for citations.
• E-E-A-T Enforcement: Drive strategies that solidify our team's Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness across the web.
• Contextual Backlinking: Focus on high-authority, contextually relevant backlinks that serve as validation nodes for AI discovery engines.
• Next-Gen Reporting: Establish KPIs that look beyond traditional rankings, tracking "Share of Voice" in AI overviews, LLM referral traffic, and conversational search visibility.
• Data-Driven Pivots: Utilize standard tools (GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush) alongside emerging GEO tracking platforms to measure ROI.

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, communication, or a related field.
• 6+ years in SEO/Digital Marketing, with at least 3 years in a fast-paced digital agency environment managing mid-to-enterprise level clients.
• Strategic thinker with a deep commitment to creativity, quality, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor SEO team members, with a deep understanding of SEO & AI trends.
• Deep understanding of how Large Language Models (LLMs) source, parse, and display information.
• A proven track record of successfully navigating major search algorithm shifts (like Google's core updates and the integration of AI Overviews).
• Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable and understandable strategies for content creators, developers, and internal & external stakeholders.
• Exceptional presentation skills. Ability to handle tough client questions, manage expectations, and retain accounts through algorithm volatility.
