- Conduct sensory and panel testing for product development and evaluation, including flavour, colour, taste, texture, and other product attributes.
- Prepare samples and prototypes for proposed new products.
- Develop and research new product ideas, recipes, and concepts based on market trends and customer requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and quality standards throughout product development and laboratory activities.
- Compile, review, and verify product specifications, ingredient declarations, and product labelling.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses using appropriate laboratory instruments and procedures.
- Assist in the processing and monitoring of regulatory permits, licenses, FDA registrations, and other related documentation.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on product development activities and other assigned tasks.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to product development, testing, and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in food expos, trainings, seminars, and other industry-related events to stay updated on food technology, ingredients, flavours, and market trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of work experience in a manufacturing company, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food ingredients and flavours, HACCP, Quality Control, physico-chemical analysis, and sensory evaluation.
- Proven experience in product formulation and flavour application, particularly in bakery, beverage, and savoury products.
- Experience in processing FDA product registration, and compliance with other applicable food regulatory standards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge and experience in handling laboratory instruments and equipment.
