Job Description

The General Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth while ensuring exceptional customer service standards aligned with hospitality-level expectations. This role oversees sales operations, team performance, and overall business efficiency, while fostering a customer-first culture similar to hotel and airline service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Service Excellence

  • Lead and manage the sales and operations team with a strong focus on customer experience and service quality
  • Promote a hospitality-driven culture (warm, professional, and client-focused approach)
  • Ensure all staff deliver service aligned with hotel/resort-level standards
  • Train and coach employees on customer handling, professionalism, and service etiquette

Sales & Client Relations

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and client acquisition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through high-level service and engagement
  • Handle VIP clients and ensure premium customer experience
  • Oversee preparation and approval of quotations, proposals, and contracts
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and long-term partnerships

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Ensure all client interactions and service processes meet quality standards
  • Monitor service performance and resolve issues promptly
  • Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify new markets and opportunities for expansion
  • Work with marketing to enhance brand positioning and customer reach
  • Conduct market research to stay competitive in a service-driven industry

Financial & Performance Management

  • Ensure achievement of sales targets and revenue goals
  • Monitor costs and maintain profitability
  • Analyze sales and operational data to improve performance
  • Prepare regular performance and financial reports

People Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop team members with a focus on service excellence
  • Build a motivated, customer-focused, and high-performing team
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous coaching

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee documentation, contracts, and operational processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 5 years experience in sales, operations, or hospitality management
  • Background in hotel, resort, airline, or service-oriented industry is a strong advantage
  • Proven experience in customer service excellence and team leadership
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
