Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
The Partnerships and Marketing Officer III develops and manages strategic partnerships, sponsorships, donor relationships, and external collaborations to expand Arete’s reach, resources, and impact. The position also leaders Arete’s marketing and communications initiatives and supports special events, including revenue-generating and commercial partnerships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Partnership Building
- Builds and maintains partnerships and external collaborations to expand Arete’s reach and impact
- Identifies and cultivates potential partners for the Theater, Sandbox Zone, and Eugenio Lopez Jr. Makerspace, ensuring alignment with Arete’s Vision, Mission, and Objectives
- Sources, secures, and develops innovation partners for the Sandbox Program and Makerspace to support creative experimentation and research
- Identifies sponsorship opportunities for Arete projects and initiatives such as performances, workshops, and creative challenges
- Develops and maintains a pipeline of donors and benefactors, including those eligible for naming rights for Arete spaces
- Monitors the accomplishment of contractual agreements of the School with clients, service providers, and third-party agencies
- Drafts and processes Memoranda of Agreement with donors, sponsors, and partners
- Conducts visits to partner offices, performances, exhibitions, and other cultural events to strengthen Arete’s visibility and network presence
- Arranges and facilitates meetings between potential partners and Arete leadership to advance collaboration opportunities
- Conceptualizes and coordinates the production, procurement, and distribution of exclusive product giveaways as tokens of appreciation for donors and sponsors
- Coordinates with relevant Arete units and University offices on all matters related to donor relations, sponsorships, and innovation partnerships
II. Marketing and Communications
- Plans, develops, and implements PR strategies for Arete, covering performances, events, and programs
- Conceptualizes, writes, and edits communication materials for marketing campaigns across digital, print, and event-related platforms, in collaboration with the communications and artistic teams
- Recommends, implements, and manages approved comprehensive social media plan and strategy
- Collaborates with Arete’s communications and artistic teams and coordinates with the University Marketing and Communications Office to ensure consistent brand messaging and visibility across partner engagements
III. Special Events Support
- Supports the preparation and execution of special events
- Sources and evaluates potential food and beverage partners, concessionaires, and production support
- Monitors and reports revenues and deliverables from concessionaries, sponsorships, and donations
IV. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, or any authorized representative
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, or any related field
- At least three (3) years’ experience in theater production, publicity, marketing, fundraising, and developing partnerships
- With established connections to cultural institutions and donor organizations
