Project Staff for Data Management Support  

Summary Project Scope
The Project Staff will support the implementation of SQMO' data management’s mandate to strengthen institutional data management for key decision-makers and University stakeholders. This project aims to improve the collection, processing, analysis, visualization, and documentation of institutional data by developing user-centered dashboards, reports, and supporting resources that provide accurate, aligned, and actionable information for evidence-based decision-making across the University.

The Project Staff will primarily assist in gathering and processing data, and transforming data into insightful information through the creation of University dashboards, as well as documenting dashboard guides for the University's stakeholders, under the guidance of the Data Management Head and in close collaboration with other members of the Data Management Team.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Gather, clean, validate, and consolidate institutional data from various University units and data sources.
• Process, organize, and maintain datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of institutional data to identify key trends, patterns, and insights.
• Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
• Prepare summary reports and analytical narratives that communicate key findings, highlights, trends, and potential areas of concern.
• Develop and update dashboard documentation, user guides,, and other reference materials.
• Assist in monitoring data quality by identifying inconsistencies, validating outputs, and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Data Management Head and members of the Data Management Team in implementing data management initiatives and continuously improving reporting processes.
• Perform other data management and analytics-related tasks as may be assigned in support of SQMO initiatives.

Project Deliverables:

• Cleaned, validated, and organized institutional datasets ready for analysis and reporting.
• Interactive dashboards and data visualizations supporting institutional monitoring and strategic decision-making.
• Summary reports highlighting key findings, trends, patterns, and insights from institutional data.
• Dashboard user guides, documentation, and reference materials for University stakeholders.
• Timely completion of assigned data processing, analytics, visualization, and documentation outputs in accordance with project timelines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following (or related) fields: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or any quantitative or analytics-related discipline.

Experience:

• At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in data management, data processing, data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, dashboard development, or related fields.
• Experience using Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, and data manipulation techniques.
• Experience with Google Data Studio (formerly Google Looker Studio) or similar dashboard and data visualization platforms is an advantage.
• Experience working with institutional, administrative, or operational datasets is an advantage.
• Experience in a higher education, research, or data-driven environment is an advantage.
