Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Head of the International Mobility Section of OAVP-UPI, the International Mobility Officer for Employees III is responsible for managing and facilitating international mobility opportunities for employees of the Higher Education cluster and the wider university. This role involves developing, coordinating, and overseeing initiatives that promote cross-border collaborations, exchanges, and partnerships to enhance the global engagement of the University.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Program Development and Management
- Assists in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of international mobility programs for employees, ensuring that it aligns with the University's internationalization strategy.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with the members of the Higher Education cluster and wider university to continuously understand their needs and professional goals which may be addressed or aided by international mobility opportunities.
- Explores and pursues opportunities for employee international mobility, ensuring that such opportunities are distributed as equitably as possible in the Higher Education cluster and the wider university.
B. Coordination and Support:
- Collaborates with units in the Higher Education cluster and wider university to align outbound training outcomes for employees with UPI mandates.
- Serves as a liaison between employees and international counterparts, fostering strong relationships, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the implementation of international mobility programs.
- Assists in communicating the programs of the Section and of the Office to unit heads and employees.
- Manages the administrative tasks related to international mobility programs, including documentation, visas, travel arrangements, and budget oversight.
- Monitors outbound employees during their time abroad, addressing any challenges or emergencies that may arise, and facilitates access to support services as necessary.
C. Inbound International Visitors
- Facilitates the pre-arrival preparation for all inbound international visitors, including coordinating the visiting employees’ visa applications.
- Coordinates with relevant units in the University and Higher Education Cluster to ensure that visiting international employees are able to access necessary and relevant employee services, and enjoy campus life.
- Monitors and tracks progress of international visitors engaged by the University, and ensures that their needs are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner.
D. Section Management Support
- Keeps abreast of internationalization trends and practices that might affect the
- University, and provides feedback to the leadership team on how to anticipate and manage its possible impact.
- Researches, analyzes, and presents data related to international mobility for employees.
- Recommends templates for reports and dashboards to monitor the success rate and effectiveness of Section initiatives.
- Assists in the logistical and resource requirements of the Section and the Office projects and activities.
- Documents all meetings, proceedings, and events of the Section and the Office projects and activities, as required.
- Assists the Office during peak seasons, and the University for events and committee works.
E. Performs other University-related duties as may be required by the AVP-UPI and/or authorized representatives.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any field. Graduate units an advantage
- 3-5 years work experience
- Experience in international education, student/faculty exchange programs, or related fields.
- Prior experience in teaching in the secondary or tertiary level, an advantage.
