About this Position

This role is responsible for ensuring product quality across web and mobile applications by designing and executing thorough manual testing throughout the development lifecycle. The Quality Engineer will review product requirements, create test cases, identify and document defects, and work closely with Product and Engineering teams to validate expected system behavior before release. The role also involves API testing, maintaining test documentation, and leveraging tools or AI to improve test planning and QA efficiency..

Responsibilities

• Review Product Requirement Documents (PRD) to understand business logic, product behavior, and technical requirements before testing begins.
• Design and create detailed, structured, and traceable test scenarios and test cases based on PRD and functional requirements.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and API platforms to ensure product functionality, usability, and reliability meet quality standards.
• Conduct API testing using Postman to validate request/response behavior, data integrity, and service integration.
• Identify, document, and track bugs or issues clearly through Jira, ensuring proper reproduction steps and impact analysis are captured.
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to reproduce issues, clarify requirements, and validate expected system behavior.
• Manage and maintain test cases using TestRail, ensuring test coverage remains accurate and up to date throughout development cycles.
• Document testing results, findings, and release readiness reports in Confluence to maintain transparency and traceability across teams.
• Support release validation through regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Utilize AI tools to assist QA activities, such as breaking down PRDs, generating test scenarios, and improving test planning efficiency.
• Demonstrate understanding of basic test automation concepts and collaborate with engineers when automation is involved (e.g., WebdriverIO for mobile testing and Playwright for web testing).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering, testing web and mobile applications (iOS & Android).
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including PRD review, test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and release validation.
• Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira (ticketing), TestRail (test case management), and Postman (API testing).
• Familiarity with Git and debugging tools such as browser developer tools, console logs, or device logs for issue investigation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, able to design tests covering both functional and edge-case scenarios.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools (Playwright, Webdriver io) is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to debugging tools (Web Console Logs, Android Studio logs) and CI/CD or automation testing pipelines is a plus.
