Job Description
The Technical Assistant (TA) is responsible for supporting the Chief Strategy Officer and the Strategy team by carrying out administrative duties.
The TA also supports the process through which the Company decides on long term direction and sets strategic goals to help the Company maintain and increase its competitive advantage. Indicative type of work required of this position include:
- Gathering and analyzing information e.g., industry, competition (including in-depth understanding of key players) locally and abroad
- Monitoring, assessing and evaluation impact of potential industry disruptors e.g., technology, regulations
- Supporting modeling and forecasting e.g., long-term market prices and key trends, including key commodities and technologies
- Supporting the process for developing, aligning, documenting, and monitoring strategies
- Supporting development of feasibility studies for new business models and projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing or any 4-year related course
- Preference for at least 2-3 years in a technical assistant role or similar.
- Computer skills, specifically in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word, Google Suite
- Has experience in Business plan development, using statistical tools and modeling, and risk management
