Job Description
The Solutions Engineer is generally responsible for translating the business requirements into technical designs and building into effective, efficient, and secure software applications following the agile framework and utilizing the DevSecOps methodology
The position utilizes best practices in performing business requirements elicitation and analysis to ensure accurate and complete capture of business needs
This role requires individuals to work both individually and collaboratively to write lines of code, test software flaws, assist in the deployment and provide technical support.
Participates in the Scrum ceremonies: The Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective and other Agile events i.e PI Planning, SoS or Design Thinking
Gather and analyze the business requirements to have an accurate and complete understanding related to software development by collaborating with the functional team to come up with the correct technical solution
Collaborates with the Project Management team to come up with the Technical Resource Plan and timelines
Creates Software Specifications Document
Creates Technical Design Artifacts that complies with the existing IT Architecture standards (Data Model, User Interface, User Experience,Integration, Security)
Endorses the Technical Design to the Build Team to ensure accurate and complete transition from design to build.
Develops the software modules / application using the DevSecOps tools and using scrum methodology
Endorses the correct source codes, executables, and configurations to the Enterprise Systems team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or any 4-year related course
- At least 3 years experience in software design, code and testing utilizing Java, Python, Jira,Github and other open source tools and platforms
- Experience in development using Oracle tools and platforms and Oracle PL/SQL
- At least 1 year experience as a project team member of any Agile IT software development related project
- Knowledge on different DevSecOps tools used for: Plan: Jira for issue tracking, Build: Gradle for Java Build Automation, Build: Github for version control and code repository,
