IT Manager  

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Development and Performance Evaluation
a. Develop strategies to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
b. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
c. Identify training needs and opportunities for team development.
d. Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are
implemented.

2. Server Management
a. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and support of servers.

b. Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission-
critical server resources.

c. Develop procedures for routine server management, including back-ups, patches and scripting for automation

3. Cloud (AWS Focus)
a. Manage AWS-based cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
b. Implement and maintain AWS security protocols and disaster recovery measures
c. Optimize AWS service usage and cost.

4. Systems Administration
a. Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy,
firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
b. Ensure continuous delivery and maintenance of IT services.
c. Manage end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations.

5. Cybersecurity
a. Develop and implement security frameworks for the organization
b. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
c. Stay current with cybersecurity and countermeasures.

6. Project Management
a. Plan, execute, and oversee projects from conception to completion.
b. Coordinate cross-functional team efforts to achieve project goals.
c. Manage timelines, resources, and budget allocations.

7. Scripting for Linux and Windows
a. Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
b. Ensure scripts are optimized for both Linux and Windows environments.
c. Provide support and documentation for custom scripts.

8. Network Management
a. Manage the operation of network services and maintain network security
b. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
c. Implement and manage network infrastructure upgrades and expansions.

9. Web Development, SEO, Syndication, and Digital Marketing Knowledge
a. Have a fair understanding of web development practices, SEO strategies,
content syndication, and digital marketing trends to collaborate effectively with related teams.

10. End User Computing
a. Manage the support and management of end-user computing platforms.

11. Software Development Knowledge
a. Maintain a fair understanding of the software development lifecycle.
b. Knowledge in Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Python, Mobile Development and PowerShell.

12. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Education and Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a

related field.

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years in IT management, preferably in the digital media industry

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of server management, cloud services (AWS), and system administration
• Expertise in cybersecurity practices
• Experience with project management
• Proficiency in scripting for both Linux and Windows environment
• Excellent skills in network management
• Basic understanding of web development, SEO, syndication, and digital marketing
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
