	<li>Staff the project either through direct employees or project employees or coordinates with appointed subcontractors; project lead.</li>
	<li>Coordinate with general contractor regarding preparatory works related to construction.</li>
	<li>Monitor the installation of elevator/escalator components and the procedures and work output compliance to standards.</li>
	<li>Monitor project accomplishment, ensure that installation schedule is followed, and submit weekly status reports of assigned projects.</li>
	<li>Coordinates with the main contractor, project manager or owner representative with regards to work done by others, which are affecting the company’s installation quality and schedule.</li>
	<li>Prepares the documents required in securing the mechanical and permit to operate.</li>
	<li>Attend meetings with general contractors and building administrators.</li>
	<li>Complete punch lists related to mechanical works, complying with Otis standards, and to the satisfaction of the Field Engineer, the Service Supervisor and Safety Manager</li>

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Campus Development and Construction Group Head, the Planning and Design Head oversees the planning, design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the roads, buildings, installations, and related systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

I. Section Management and Development

<ul>
	<li>Sets the direction of the Planning and Design Section and determines its operational goals in alignment with the Group goals, Office goals and Cluster mandates</li>
	<li>Prepares and monitors the Section’s budget and expenditures and recommends cost effective solutions for the Office</li>
	<li>Manages the performance of employees in the Section by setting standards/targets, monitoring, and evaluating performance, and providing development opportunities</li>
	<li>Gathers feedback from the other CFMO Section Heads to determine areas for improvement and potential requirements of the University, and determines best course of action</li>
</ul>

II. Campus Master Plan Management

<ul>
	<li>Assesses and analyzes infrastructure, facility, accessibility, and utilities conditions and capacities reports vis-à-vis the long- and short-term needs and direction of the University, and recommends necessary improvements and possible priority projects</li>
	<li>Oversees the conduct of feasibility and environmental planning studies, ensuring a financially and functionally viable and sustainable project, recommending ways to optimize space and utility usage</li>
	<li>Assists in the review, creation, and revision of a comprehensive and integrated framework and guidelines for campus development, looking into infrastructure planning, space planning and utilization, and environment planning</li>
	<li>Keeps abreast of national and international standards in the professional, as well as government regulations, and ensures that the Campus Master Plan adheres to such yardsticks</li>
	<li>Creates guidelines and policies on sustainable design standards balancing aesthetics, functionality, and safety</li>
</ul>

III. Facilities Planning and Evaluation

<ul>
	<li>Evaluates resource facility systems in the University to check compliance with government laws and codes, University standards, and best practices</li>
	<li>Writes recommendations, guidelines and standards on facilities planning and utilization to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of physical facilities</li>
</ul>

IV. Construction and Renovation Projects

<ul>
	<li>Creates guidelines on cost estimation, project timelines, contracting and procurement, and evaluation of bids</li>
	<li>Coordinates with University offices for all Construction, Major and Minor Improvement projects requests</li>
	<li>Prepares pre-design and schematic design plans for all space planning and facilities improvement projects.</li>
	<li>Prepares detailed cost estimates in budget planning and evaluation of Construction, Major and Minor Improvement projects, for the approval of the CDCG Head</li>
	<li>Drafts all pertinent construction project bid documents such as:
	<ul>
		<li>Scope of work</li>
		<li>TOR</li>
		<li>Design Development plan</li>
		<li>Construction documents, BOQ and design details and specifications</li>
		<li>Work schedule, budget estimates</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Advises stakeholders and CFMO Sections on the interpretation and implementation of project plans to support planning and evaluation</li>
	<li>Assist the Construction Management and Post Construction and Building Care Sections in advising participants during and after the bidding process</li>
	<li>Oversees documents updates of ‘as-built’ plans and standard design documents and compliance with CFMO records management procedures</li>
</ul>
