The Company
BCI Asia is a part of Media Group, the leading provider of construction information with offices across South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. We service a large clientele of companies in the construction industry, allowing them to maintain a competitive advantage and win new business through the use of our project reports and market information.
The Role
The Social Project and Development Officer is in charge of developing partnerships with NGOs and construction professionals. The consultant will be matching NGO project needs with construction firms and coordinating transactions. Candidates must be willing to work hand in hand with local NGOs and assist them in finding willing sellers of needed materials in the construction industry for their projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather &qualify project information by way of calls to and meetings with contacts at NGOs, LGUs, neighborhood associations, and social developers
- Identify and contact suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and construction professionals with a view to getting them to register their firm as a FairBuilding Partner (both over the phone, by email or face to face meetings)
- Explain the FairBuilding concept and objectives to contacts within the building industry
- Motivate and assist firms to become FairBuilding Partners
- Matching NGO construction project needs with FairBuilding Partners
- Setting up regular meetings with all parties involved with an aim to formalize partnerships between NGOs and FairBuilding Partners via signed transactions
- Manage the FairBuilding Network social media accounts
Minimum Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Must be comfortable doing administrative tasks
- Must be comfortable with outbound calls
- Must be willing to do 50% fieldwork, 50% office work
- We’ll provide all the training but you must be committed to learning lots of new stuff
- A bit of experience in customer service or research is an advantage.
- All positions are full-time and in our Makati office
