Accounts Payable Administrator  

The Accounting Associate (Accounts Payable) will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

• Assembles and reviews invoices and requisitions for proper payment processing.
• Records entries and charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
• Pays vendors by monitoring credit and discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains historical records by properly filing documents.
• Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required
• Experience in a manufacturing firm is a plus
• Strong understanding of general accounting is a MUST (Financial, Management, Audit, Accounting Information and Taxation)
• Experience working with Quickbooks or any other accounting system a plus
• Must be independent, ethical and meticulous
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized: able to maintain accurate and consistent documents/records
