Security Engineer  

This Security Engineer role focuses on leveraging Google SecOps, to enhance the security posture of the organization and its potential clients. Responsibilities include threat detection, incident response automation, and continuous security monitoring. The engineer will analyze security data, develop playbooks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks. They will ensure the effective implementation and optimization of cloud security tools. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and manage SIEM and SOAR platforms for effective security monitoring and incident response.
• Develop and maintain security playbooks and automation workflows within SOAR to streamline incident handling and remediation.
• Analyze security logs and alerts from various sources to identify and investigate potential security threats and anomalies.
• Conduct threat hunting activities using SIEM to proactively discover and mitigate hidden security risks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of security tools, ensuring optimal functionality and availability.
• Document security procedures, incident response plans, and configurations for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.

Education:

• Graduate of a bachelor's degree course in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, management information systems, or any other related field. Advanced degrees are considered as an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cybersecurity projects
• Experience in handling SIEM and SOAR products. Experience with Chronicle SIEM and SOAR and/or Google SecOps is considered as an advantage.
