Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, UDPO, the Compliance Officer for Privacy II is responsible for compliance management, incident management, and complaints resolution in support of the operations of the Office. The position also performs research and capacity building, and office management support.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
I. Compliance Management

<ul>
	<li>Registers the University’s data processing systems with the National Privacy Commission (NPC), and notifies the agency of any automated decision-making system of the University</li>
	<li>Monitors the data protection concerns of other offices in the University, as assigned by the Assistant Director</li>
	<li>Coordinates with various stakeholders (e.g. NPC, other data protection authorities, regulators, etc.) during compliance checks, data protection-related cases, investigations, and other similar activities</li>
	<li>Coordinates with both internal and external stakeholders when carrying out data protection-related work</li>
	<li>Assists in organizing and preparing preparatory and consultative meeting with stakeholders</li>
	<li>Prepares materials, reserves venues, and orders food for meetings headed/organized by the Office</li>

II. Incident Management and Complaints Resolution

Compliance Officer for Privacy

Under the supervision of the Investment Director, the Investment Head monitors the current investment portfolios of the University, ensuring its adherence to the investment policies and financial risk management guidelines, and executing short-term investments. The position also serves as the liaison between the University and the external investment partners.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of Investment Portfolios

<ul>
	<li>Provides regular performance reports about investment matters needed for decision-making.
	<ul style="list-style-type: circle;">
		<li>Tracks, records, analyzes and reports the performance of the investment portfolios.</li>
		<li>Computes and analyzes the performance of the benchmarks and the individual portfolios’ returns generated by the portfolio managers.</li>
		<li>Identifies potential risk areas and provides recommendations on how to address current and emerging concerns.</li>
		<li>Provides recommendations to balance the liquidity requirements of the University and the attainment of investment goals.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Maintains data on benchmark performance and fund performance, ensuring that information is available to provide an accurate and up-to-date picture of the University’s investment status.

		<li>Monitors the domestic and foreign portfolio managers’ adherence to portfolio guidelines and investment instructions, observance of asset allocation limits and allowed ranges, and compliance with the benchmarks of portfolios with discretionary mandates, such as Ateneo Consolidated Fund (i.e., ADMU and the other Ateneo schools), ADMU Retirement Fund, ADMU Fiduciary accounts; Ateneo Scholarship Foundation, Inc., and Jesuit Philippine Province portfolios (Isabela Cultural Corp.); and brokerage (directional) mandates, such as Ateneo Consolidated Fund, ADMU Retirement Fund, Ateneo Scholarship Foundation, Inc., and Jesuit Philippine Province.</li>
		<li>Monitors the credit and investment exposures of the portfolios to stay within approved limits.</li>
		<li>Monitors the investment performance of the various portfolios, whether discretionary mandate or brokerage (directional) mandate, vs. portfolio benchmarks.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Prepares the written instructions, for the signature of the authorized signatories, regarding the implementation of investment strategies.</li>
	<li>Recommends participating in new issues of discretionary asset classes and allocates the amount of participation among the various accounts.</li>
	<li>Prepares and/or reviews the Powerpoint presentation material on investment performance presented to the relevant committees of the Ateneo Consolidated Fund, ADMU Retirement Fund, ADMU Fiduciary accounts, Ateneo Scholarship Foundation, Inc., and Jesuit Philippine Province.</li>

Investment Opportunites

	<li>Sources and evaluates investment opportunities, including those referred/proposed to the University by the portfolio managers, and makes the necessary recommendations.</li>

I. Professional Fees Support
