Overview:

Converge Studios Inc. is the Digital Transformation arm of Converge ICT, building the cloud infrastructure and the product ecosystem that will define the company's technology identity within the broader conglomerate. We are a small, high-calibre team with an outsized mandate, and we are growing deliberately.

The Senior Software Engineer sits at the core of the RnD Department, responsible for the foundational systems that every other product stream depends on. You will own the engineering of two critical layers: the orchestration layer (built on Crossplane, k3s, and ArgoCD) and the core API layer that underpins revenue collection across all Converge Cloud products.

This role is for an engineer who operates at the micro level, who cares about memory allocation, garbage collection, and type safety as much as they care about system design. You will set the engineering standard for junior engineers, uphold architectural decisions, and produce systems that are expected to operate reliably for years, not sprints.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Orchestration / Services

<ul>
	<li>Design, build, and maintain the Orchestration and Services layer.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain the Kubernetes Provider, enabling declarative infrastructure management.</li>
	<li>Resolve platform issues and drive continuous stability improvements.</li>
	<li>Collaborate with the Principal Engineer on AI-assisted infrastructure workflows (GitOps agents, manifest generation, merge request automation).</li>
</ul>

2. Core Systems

<ul>
	<li>Architect and implement core systems with specific focus on building the developer experience, subscription management, and monetization of the product ecosystem.</li>
	<li>Deliver a system that integrates with the Account Plane and exposes capabilities via API Gateway.</li>
	<li>Own the full pipeline from Ideation through Early Adoption and into steady-state operation for Core Systems</li>
	<li>Define and enforce API contracts consumed by product teams across Team A and Team B.</li>
</ul>

3. Engineering Standards &amp; Culture

<ul>
	<li>Act as the engineering ladder's top individual contributor — setting the example for code quality, testing discipline, and architectural reasoning.</li>
	<li>Establish DevOps practice, write tests, and build CI/CD pipelines for core engineering and orchestration layer.</li>
	<li>Conduct architecture reviews at the Ideation and Stabilization stages of the Product Development Pipeline.</li>
	<li>Mentor junior engineers through the Team C pod structure and cross-team exchange programs.</li>
	<li>Produce well-documented, auditable systems that can be handed off and operated by future team members.</li>
