Job Description
We are searching for a self-motivated country manager to help with organization expansion. The country manager will lead all operations to ensure the profitability of the company's affiliate. Responsibilities include recruitment and training, writing budgets and reports, and assessing performance. You should also be comfortable living abroad.
To be successful as a country manager, you should be a competent public speaker and have good networking abilities. Outstanding candidates should be able to work without supervision and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Country Head Responsibilities:
- Liaising with head office and writing up quarterly/annual reports.
- Recruiting, vetting, and training all new staff.
- Researching the country or region thoroughly and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Monitoring performance at all levels and scheduling training as required.
- Implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring consistency.
- Building professional relationships with staff and clients.
- Maintaining a good image of the organization at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of P&L with baseline financial acumen
- Excellent first principle thinking and ability to fundamentally find fresh solutions to difficult challenges.
- Strong quantitative reasoning ability with a robust fluency in data analysis
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- High energy and strong resiliency.
- Keenness to travel extensively.
- 10-12 years of experience in various operational/P&L management roles within that specific local market.
- Diverse experience across start-ups and established companies in that local market and across the geographic region ideally.
- Experience driving growth and experience for O2O businesses (online to offline) in geography.
- Clearly demonstrated ability to launch new initiatives with meaningful financial impact.
- Strong experience building and leading diverse teams.
- Expertise in managing blue-collar staff in a local environment.
- Past experience engaging with local governments for various regulatory requirements.
- Past experience working on alliances and other strategic initiatives between multiple entities.
