Print Production Expert | Remote | Hybrid  

Wideout is seeking a Print Production Expert to support the production of printed marketing materials. This person will perform all the steps necessary to ensure designs created by the production team are print-ready before they are sent to the print vendors. This position is also responsible for flagging potential artwork errors and fixing if necessary and collaborating with print coordinators to ensure interpretation is achievable within print production constraints. The Print Production Expert will work closely with a U.S.-based marketing agency operations team along with our creatives, business partners, and various stakeholders to execute client projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create digital artworks and check their quality based on the client and printer guidelines—must be able to apply technical specifications such as dielines
• Utilizing knowledge and understanding of the pre-press and printing capabilities of equipment—determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects
• Process and export files according to print specifications which include creating separations, remapping of colors, overprinting, bleeding, and color correction
• Communicate with several teams at various stages of the project and make changes as necessary to ensure the processed files meet the printer requirements for production
• Prepare proofs to be inspected by reviewers, managers, and experts
• Perform and establish pre-flight checks according to brand guidelines and printer specifications and readiness
• Resolve quality concerns and troubleshoot and fix file issues prior to hand-off

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven work experience as a graphic/pre-press designer or similar role; agency experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; or Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate of a related field
• Proficiency in the pre-press production process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance
• Basic to intermediate knowledge in design using the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) is required; proficiency with Microsoft Office is also highly advantageous
• Experience with working with a digital asset management (DAM) platform is a plus
• Able to build or amend packaged digital files efficiently and accurately
• Able to understand and follow brand guidelines and operate within printing limitations

• Currently work-from-home setup with a capable workstation; but amenable to work in Makati City in the future
• Amenable to work in the night shift
• Amenable to work during holidays and to render overtime when needed
• BPO background is a plus but not required
