Scrum Master  

As a Scrum Master in White Cloak, you’ll be responsible for promoting and upholding the practice of Agile in the organization. You’ll be working closely with other Scrum Masters, Management, and Scrum Teams to deliver top-notch products that will impact the lives of many people.

We are looking for Scrum Masters who are servant-leaders, to help those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and call out those which are not. More importantly, the Scrum Master is expected to help everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team.

Responsibilities:

Lead

• Taking charge of forecasting timeline, monitoring the team’s velocity, and ensuring that the client’s timeline expectations are always grounded to reality
• Proactively finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management
• Leading the organization in its Scrum adoption
• Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress
• Introducing improvements that increase the productivity of the Scrum Team
• Promoting a healthy environment and culture across the team

Coach

• Teaching Scrum to teams without prior knowledge in Agile/Scrum
• Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domains are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible
• Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
• Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value
• Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality

Facilitate

• Understanding and practicing agility
• Facilitating sprint rituals and managing artifacts
• Helping the Development Team to create high-value products
• Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed
• Planning Scrum implementations within the organization
• Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development
• Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
• Ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between the team members and stakeholders

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Knowledgeable in different Agile Methodologies, not just Scrum
• Excellent facilitating and coaching skills
• Has exceptional people management skills
• Familiar with Agile Software Engineering Practices
