Job Description
- Act as a consultant solution / technical architect leading solutions architecture for client and internal initiatives.
- Create and design application architectures including infrastructure designs, and configure large enterprise applications based on business requirements.
- Establish the desired future state of application architectures, identify the gaps between this and the assessed current state, and recommend transition plans into closing the gaps.
- Recommend high impact solution / technical solutions aimed to improve business segments.
- Develop high-level and detailed views of current and proposed IT architectures.
- Serve as the technical expert in one or more applications within a program or portfolio of either client or internal company initiative/s.
- Ensure solution designs meet the requirements for scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
- Plan and conduct research in application technologies to support business objectives, under minimal direction.
- Participate in assessing and resolving software defects discovered during quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with product designers, developers, QA engineers, and Cloud & DevOps management and infrastructure, to ensure quality and successful implementation of new product applications.
- Assist project management teams with the development of work breakdown structures and project plans required to implement applications.
- Participate in design reviews for project implementation.
- Assist IT and Business groups in the evolution of technology and business roadmaps.
- Conduct technical evaluations and perform cost/benefit analysis.
- Assist in developing disaster recovery strategies.
- Possess understanding of IS Security measures, standards, practices and technology.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines
- Degree in computer science or computer engineering, information management systems, software development or business information systems
- In-depth working knowledge in web and mobile application development
- Proficiency in either Java or JavaScript
- Knowledge of Frontend Web Technologies (e.g. React, Angular, etc.)
- Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS compute, storage, and database services
- Knowledgeable in designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, enterprise-grade architectures
- Previous experience in requirements gathering, design and solution building
- Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
- Ability to work independently and proactively
