Job Description
The main focus of this position is to consistently maintain high levels of accuracy by actively listening to the given phone conversations to be transcribed simultaneously by our voice recognition software. Each conversation will be different from one another thus having a high level of listening and comprehension skills is a must.
Communication Assistants assist people with hearing loss communicate through the phone. The nature of the job is similar to providing live closed captions, with the exception of adding punctuations.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent oral communication with outstanding English grammar and wide vocabulary
- Excellent listening skills
- Able to focus and repeat heard language clearly
- Able to enunciate words and emphasize word endings
- Abide by strict Confidentiality Agreement
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Must be available to be trained Mondays - Fridays (morning)
