Job Description
The COLLEGE NURSE should be:
- License Nurse
- preferrably with Staff Nurse experience or any related nursing assignment
- proficient with MS Office and familiar with nurse-related administrative tasks
- communicates well with people from different backgrounds
- organized, dependable, and friendly
Minimum Qualifications
The COLLEGE NURSE shall be expected to perform the following duties:
- maintains the health of students and school personnel in accordance with the health programs instituted
- makes arrangements and coordinates physical examinations during pre-enrollment, pre-employment, etc.
- conducts preliminary assessment prior to endorsement to physician
- performs emergency procedures / first aid for minor injuries; coordinates with SLMC ER Department regarding more critical, complicated cases
- safekeeps records, releases health bulletins and urgent medical information as may be required
