Job Description
Job Objectives
- A key platform and a key role to further the productivity of each Club focused on developing the business of our partners (Volume Shoppers, Food & Beverage, Wholesale, Retail, Offices, New Channels, etc.).
- The scope is national and will directly work with Club operations, Distribution Teams, Marketing, Merchandise, and Fresh.
- The role is responsible for creating a formal structure in our current Wholesale / Volume Shop Program, and proactively increasing the value of the division.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Proper identification of baseline revenue streams
- Creating formal targets on each revenue stream, channel reach, and channel profitability
- Formal people structure will allow us to proactively seek business partnerships, rather than reactive where we are approached by these customers
- Adjust, then create structures to address the needs of our business partners
- Creation of business rhythm on business partner coverage, including regular joint business planning
- Coordination with different divisions for forecasts to ensure steady and predictable supply
- Co-development with Merchandise and Fresh SKUs needed by our partners at the right quantity and price, including environmental considerations. This includes building our Private Label as well
- Marketing the services of S&R under the Business Partnerships Division
- Digitization that will lead to regular replenishment of our partners, and prescriptive selling
- Establishment of the right logistics model
- Study benefits of varied trading terms or payment options
- Possible creation of exclusive Business Member perks and rewards, including Credit Card partnerships
Minimum Qualifications
Educational Background: Graduate of any 4-year course
Work Experience: With more than 5 years of experience in Wholesale management, sales, or related role
Skills: Wholesale Business Director needs to have the following skills:
- Effective communication skills that can help build trust, develop relationships, and resolve issues with solid negotiation and presentation skills
- Leadership skills can help motivate the team and encourage them to work together to achieve company goals.
- Effective problem-solving skills - A wholesale manager must solve problems and find solutions to challenges. They should find the best way to overcome obstacles and ensure success. Effective problem-solvers should identify the cause of a problem and find a solution that works
- Time management skills - The ability to plan and execute tasks within a set time frame. As a wholesale manager, you may oversee multiple projects at once, so it’s important to prioritize tasks and manage time accordingly.
