Job Description
- Develop assortment plans that support overall strategy for key merchandise categories and classifications, items, and vendors;
- Facilitates and promotes timely communication and cooperation between stores, merchandising functions, and resources to accomplish sales, margin, and service objectives;
- Supports management team in driving sales, financial management, and ensuring that store profit, productivity and audit goals are met;
- Manages monthly open-to-buy (OTB) to ensure appropriate allocation of merchandise at the store;
- Ensures that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing support the financial objectives of the merchandise group;
- Works with the merchandise team to strengthen market relationships and knowledge of market trends, strengths and weaknesses;
- Builds strategic relationships with suppliers and maintans a competitive advantage on negotiations;
- Determines product range to be offered to the market, consistent with the company value proposition;
- Advises on market and competitor analysis, product range construction and positioning, and pricing strategy;
- Implements company and store standards of merchandising as well as effective marketing strategy throughout the store;
- Executes merchandising efforts resulting in clean store presentation and increased sales;
- Trains, motivates and develops team through coaching and mentoring
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have working backgrond in retail industry
- Has a keen eye in fashion
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and commercial awareness
- Good communication and presentation skills
