THE ROLE

We are a small team, so you will have a real opportunity to make executive decisions, and immerse yourself in all aspects of online retail. During this early stage of the business, your role will involve market sizing, forecasting and conducting feasibility studies as we refine our business model. Through this, you will be key in driving strategy and providing insights into resources needed from operations to marketing. Furthermore, with your business intelligence, you will be able to assist in defining and refining processes from returns, last mile logistics to the supply chain.

Moving forward, we have ambitious plans to rethink the way we use data, making it easier to access, report on, create insights, make changes to our ways of working and measure the impact. Having an accurate and dynamic view of where our customer demand and operational capacities sit, allows us to remain agile in the face of a shifting retail environment, and steer corporate strategies on growth and investment into where it will make the most impact.

What will you be doing?

• Deep data analysis, designing reports and dashboards
• Supporting the team through regular and ad-hoc analysis of technical and non-technical metrics, automating as much as possible.
• Understanding department processes and goals, helping to create and refine these
• Project management and support
• Problem solving

Requirements

• Any 4 year degree that requires a high level of numeracy and/or commercial awareness (degrees related to Science and Technology, Engineering, Math, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Entrepreneurship)
• Ability to gather and understand business requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Statistical analysis skills ex. Statistical significance
• Strong Excel skills (VBA is a plus)
• Exemplary standards of personal integrity and respect for others – collaborative team working, able to quickly build relationships based on trust and transparency.
• Energy – positive attitude and determination to learn and succeed

Nice to have

• Experience in offline retail, grocery, consulting or online retail (selling on Lazada, Shopee, Facebook or Instagram)
• Previous experience as a business analyst or in a similar role
• Experience with business intelligence platforms or creating your own dashboards
• Strong ability to query relational databases using SQL
