SANTEH has been in the aqua culture business for more than 10 years. We ventured into aquaculture in 1990 with the manufacture of TATEH palletized feeds from the first Lawang Bato production facilities in Valenzuela, to the present state-of-the-art Calumpit, Bulacan plant in 2001. This plant covers an area of 4 hectares equipped with the most advanced extruder and pelletizer. From the original Tateh pelletized prawn feeds, to the current crop of high-yielding aqua feed products for a complete range of fishes and crustaceans. In 1993, their pellets became successful and paved the way for the production of tilapia and bangus feeds, which soon expanded to make floating fish feeds and later introduced marine fish feeds for grouper and sea bass. Milestones SANTEH Feeds Corporation commits to the highest standards of excellence. This was achieved through compliance audits that were conducted periodically to monitor adherence to strict quality standards, good manufacturing practices and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction in the industry. In the year 1997, SANTEH topped the aqua feed industry by becoming the first and only aquafeed manufacturing company in the Philippines certified by ISO 9002:1994. Not one to rest on its laurels, SANTEH raised the bar of standards to the next level, thus paving the way to other milestones in its existence. In May 8, 2002, Santeh upgraded its ISO standards to the ISO 9001:2000 (CIP/1988/97/08/063) certification, a standard that gives more emphasis to customer satisfaction. SANTEH was also the first to be granted ISO 14001:1996 (CI/47241) and ISO 18001:1999 (CIP/47241) for environmental responsibility in the aquafeed industry. This was borne out of its stringent (1) selection and use of materials, (2) processing, (3) conservation of resources, (4) product development, and (5) waste management.
