Job Description
We are looking for an Inventory Controller to join our team. Inventory Controller responsibilities include counting and balancing merchandise. You will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies as needed.
As an Inventory Controller, you should be analytical with strong attention to detail. You will also identify any discrepancies or losses so they can be prevented from happening again.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures.
- Maintaining and improving the company's inventory situation.
- Placing inventory restock orders.
- Communicating with the management about any inventory issues.
- Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment.
- Placing inventory orders and tracking shipments.
- Allocating inventory to the correct departments.
- Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports.
- Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts and discrepancies.
- Coordinating with other departments to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.
- Creating and maintaining inventory databases for accurately managing inventory.
- Suggesting improvements to inventory control.
- Performing regular inventory counts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Analyst or similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Good computer skills.
