Job Description
- The Senior Data Analyst is the lead in supporting Business Units, Senior Management, and the Board through data science and analytics by providing data-driven insights to help in creating innovative business decisions and solutions.
- Apply a range of mathematical, statistical, predictive modeling, or machine-learning techniques in consultation with experts if appropriate, and with sensitivity to the limitations of the techniques.
- Mine, generate and analyze small to large datasets from multiple systems using appropriate tools;
- Develops data hypotheses and methods, trains and evaluates analytics models, shares insights and findings, and continues to iterate with additional data.
- Apply ethical and robust techniques in the transformation of data from one format/medium to another, in line with organizational policies and procedures and being sensitive to risks around the use of information;
- Supports Business Units, Senior Management, and the Board in identifying, business challenges and opportunities through analytics;
- Trains representatives of departments on new reports and dashboards;
- Prepare and present data visualization reports or narratives based on provided specifications to the Management and Board; and
- Participate in organization-wide innovation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Statistics or equivalent;
- Tools: Proficient in R, Python, SQL, data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlik Sense, and Google Data Studio;
- Technical experience in data analysis, data engineering, data management, data modeling, and design, programming, and data visualization for at least 2 years;
- The candidate must be enthusiastic about innovation initiatives through improvements in the department's business process;
- Highly organized in the delivery and quality of outputs and reports;
- Ensure quality checks of improvement projects within area of responsibility and expertise using the PDCA methodology (Plan, Do Check, Action);
- Confident and comfortable in conducting presentations to multiple stakeholders and leaders in the Company;
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid set-up at least 1-2x a week.
