Job Description
- Supervises accounting and finance team on the maintenance of accounting records
- Supervises and controls planned and superseding activities of subordinates concerning the performance of their job functions and task assignments completion in accordance with the company's prescribed standards, in the process of providing motivational approach and disciplining as may be necessary
- Ensures the accuracy, completeness and timelines of the recording of all accounting transactions into journals and subsidiary ledgers
- Manages month-end and year-end closing
- Assists in the preparation of needed financial statements for both BIR/government reporting and management reporting
- Assist in the development of maintenance of financial reporting system to ensure integrity of finances, based on comprehensive accounting procedures and controls
- Monitors issuances of legislation, ordinances or operational guidelines as issued by government regulatory bodies such as local government unit, SEC, BIR, etc. to ensure compliance by the company with such mandates
- Prepare and/or review of working papers for all tax returns (BIR), as well as filing of reports/payments
- Assist in preparation of budgeting reports and forecasts revenue
- Acts as a liaison to the business partners and external/internal auditors on accounting issues and analyses
- Prepares and Reviews of working papers for BIR and filing of tax returns and payments
- Performs routine and varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedure
- Perform other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science Major in Accountancy or any 4 year pre-accountancy courses.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience as Accounting Supervisor
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office particularly in MS Excel
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
- Well organized and highly attentive to details
- Works well under pressure
- Proactive and can interact, relate, and coordinate effectively
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
