Job Description
As part of the SCCM team you will have ownership of the System Center environment
• Create and maintain a patch management strategy for tools and methods including tools that maintain a secure computing environment
• Performs reporting and remediation planning to ensure that all systems maintain current software versions and maintain any discrepancies and report to leadership
• Acts as a liaison to the enterprise business units and server team leaders to plan, schedule and implement remediation to ensure that all systems are running the latest software versions and patches at all times
• Creates software metering/usage reports to maintain license compliance
• Ensures that all enterprise assets possess standard license versions, virus protection signature files, monitoring agents and encryption software and creates reports indicating discrepancies along with plans for remediation
• Prepares software vulnerability assessments reports in conjunction to patch deployment methodology and determines how to resolve in a timely manner taking into consideration system uptime requirements. Prepares policy enforcement reports concerning the latest policies in place and deployed to all assets
• Uses the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager solution to package software for enterprise deployment
• Creates, packages, tests, schedules, deploys and supports software packages delivered
• Evaluates new tools and creates a deployment/support strategy for RoundPoint
• Leverage alternative packaging solutions to deliver and distribute packages using WISE package studio or a scripted solution when SCCM cannot be used
• Maintain PC disk encryption standards throughout the enterprise and troubleshoot issues, which could compromise the confidentiality of the data
• Troubleshoots and repairs encryption failures or problems and works with the IT Service Desk and Desktop support teams to ensure support documentation is up to date
• Ensure proper monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, retirement, and expansion of existing environments and perform software upgrades as well as 24x7 on-call support for problem resolution (on-call rotation with other team members)
• Ensure that the creation, maintenance and support a standard PC image to ensure standardization and supportability
• Ensure that an image deployment process for Windows/Linux/Mac based PC’s and servers exists and is adhered to
• Participate in the evaluation, selection and installation of new hardware products and PC operating system versions for supportability/compatibility
• Maintains an anti-virus/anti-spyware solution by software selection, policy creation, deployment, enforcement and support
• Evaluates new tools and creates a deployment/support strategy for RoundPoint
• Resolve tickets for the team queue in compliance with the IT Service Desk processes
• Performs installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade activities for all tools maintained by the team
• Creates supportable documents pertaining to system builds and configuration
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any IT related course
• Experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10 Enterprise versions
• SCCM experience with creation, migration and deployment of application packages. Solid foundation of designing and implementing distributions with SCCM
• VBScript and/or PowerShell scripting
• Microsoft Certification preferred
• Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer training and written documentation
• Ability to work independently without intensive oversight
• Understanding of all infrastructure functions including network, servers (physical and virtual), and end user computing devices
• Ability to work under pressure and within strict time constraints while working in a changing environment with continually changing direction and requirements
• ITIL certification preferred
• Financial and/or Mortgage industry expertise preferred
• Microsoft desktop technologies
• Discipline to adhere to formal system lifecycle methodology
• Willing to work on a night shift or mid shift
