However, this doesn’t happen without some really awesome people. We are looking for an AP Team Lead to join our growing team in Makati! You will be directly reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager and the Finance Manager. You will mainly be responsible for full-cycle merchant payable from master-file to payments.
Role Description
- Supervise a team of 3-4 Accounting Specialists in the merchant payable function. Each of the accounting specialists are tasked to:
- Process payable transactions
- Reconcile discrepancies between billings from vendors and billing and related application tools
- Resolve daily AP-related issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Espouse a culture of excellence, integrity and continuous improvement within the team.
- Handle critical merchants to ensure that payables are accurately determined and are timely paid
- Maintain merchant master file to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness
- Prepare accurate and dynamic business reports that involve data processed through merchant payable cycle.
- Manage and ensure timely month-end closing of AP records in the main books and related-applications
- Manage projects in process streamlining/improvement with focus on maximization of available application tools, risk evaluation, and documentation of procedures of the merchant payable cycle.
- Handle audit and change management projects that involve processes within merchant payable cycle
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, preferably CPA with two to four (2 – 4) years’ experience in accounts payable / disbursements.
- Experience in supervising and maintaining a high-performance team
- Experience in processing data in high volume and technology-intensive environment
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Possesses attitude of integrity and excellence and agility for change
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills with impeccable work attitude towards meeting deadlines amidst heavy workload
- Attentive to details and confidentiality
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
