About Dehusk
Cofounded by Nadine Lustre and Christophe Bariou, Dehusk aims to disrupt the dairy industry in Southeast Asia through plant-based milk. We're preparing to launch the Philippines' first locally-produced fortified coconut milk as a dairy alternative.
Here's the problem we're trying to solve:
š More than 80% of Asians are lactose intolerant
ā“ SEA is reliant on dairy imports. For example, 99% of the dairy milk in the Philippines is imported, it's a $1.5b industry
š 1L of dairy needs around 600L of water and creates 2-5x more carbon footprint than any plant-based milk
šø Fresh dairy milk is more expensive in the Philippines than in London
š„ Majority of Filipino children and adults are micronutrient deficient, including calcium and riboflavin
