Job Description

  • Process payroll including payroll file payment and bank uploads
  • Reconcile payroll and superannuation accounts
  • Prepare and pay payroll tax returns (monthly) and reconciliation on an annual basis
  • Record financial transactions and complete the posting process to Xero and other systems
  • Review account codes and re-coding of transactions
  • Process purchase and sales invoices
  • Verify that invoices and transactions comply with Purchase Orders
  • Create authorised payments to supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile bank transactions, general ledger accounts, and other accounts
  • Review and balance of Balance Sheet and P&L account codes
  • Encode and post journal entries for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process expense claims and reimbursements
  • Assist with month-end accounting process including weekly and monthly P&L reports, journal entries for Accruals and Prepayments
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Can process payroll across multiple entities with an average of 1500 employees
  • 1 year of Australian bookkeeping and 3 years of New Zealand or Australian end-to-end (manual) payroll experience

  • Working knowledge in FastTrack payroll is a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and its various applications with a high-level MS Excel Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent

Essential Attributes

  • Strong New Zealand and Australian account experience
  • Good English communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proactive mindset, can work independently but collaborates well with a team
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to perform relevant admin tasks as required by clients
  • Fit to work status upon completion of Pre-Employment Medical Exam with drug test and valid NBI Clearance
