Job Description
Responsbilities:
- Work with an international team on building our innovative search platform that will be seen and used by hundreds of users everyday.
- Write robust, clean, portable and well documented code.
- Design and architect components with focus on performance and scalability of distributed services and systems and underlying search(s).
- Ensure high availability of the platforms through systems and infrastructure engineering.
- Implement advanced search features such as language detection, spell check, auto suggest/correct and more.
- Partner with product managers to refine and prioritize requirements, estimate and set the work scope and time releases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience of server-side Java
- Extensive experience of building web apps in a product-driven environment
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience working in scrum
- Senior-level knowledge of API design and development
- Proficient in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) including MYSQL or Postgres
- Basic understanding of AWS systems and services
- Basic in Computer Science or related field
